This 202 m tall building was built in 1983 and the cost is approximately $300 million. Owned by the current president of the USA, Donald Trump. This tower is also the headquarter of the Trump Organization. The president has a home as well as an office here. Apart from just the president, many other Trump members have lived in this skyscraper as well.
Fire at Trump Tower:
On April 7, 2018, the Trump Tower caught fire on its 50th floor. The floor used to have apartments as well as office space. Huge smoke was seen coming out from the tower at around 22:00 GMT.
Casualties:
One of the male residents of the Trump Tower Building named Todd Brassner died when he was found critical and was being taken to the hospital. Apart from him, six other firefighters were injured because of the blaze.
Donald Trump’s Response:
Fire at Trump Tower is out. Very confined (well built building). Firemen (and women) did a great job. THANK YOU!

About 45 minutes later, President Donald Trump had tweeted that the fire was under control. He was shocked to see the tower caught on fire as he believed that the tower was well built. However, he was thankful to the firemen as well as firewomen. The tweet didn’t get a good response as everybody knew that the building was old and Trump didn’t add the sprinkler systems in his building back in the 1990s when a law was implemented for such old residential buildings. President Trump and his family members didn’t live there at the time when it caught fire. They were at the White House in Washington, D.C.

What really caused the fire?
The major cause wasn’t found for a few hours. But later, the officials said that the main cause of the fire was caused by overloaded power strips. Also, the 4-alarm-fire was out of control because there was no smoke alarm present in the apartment.

Controversies about the fire at Trump Tower:
Chris Cuomo, as well as President Donald Trump, has had disputes since the president started his terms in the presidency. Not just Chris Cuomo and his family, Donald Trump has problems with almost all the Democratic leaders in the USA. After his building caught fire, there were definitely controversies. The major controversy was regarding Chris Cuomo and his brother Andrew Cuomo. Previously, Donald Trump had made some negative comments about the New York City Governor, Andrew Cuomo. He said that New York City is like a home to him but New York wouldn’t be great again if Democrats like Andrew Cuomo run the city. Since the Trump tower is located in New York City, many (mostly Donald Trump supporters) believed that the fire was caused by Andrew Cuomo. However, there is no such proof about that. It is just a rumor and the real reason for the fire was an accident.
