Matthew Dowd is a popular American politician. Apart from being just a politician, he is best known as a political pundit as well as a political consultant. Currently, he has been providing his services for ABC News as their political analyst. Matthew Dowd has been well-known famous for his services for Bush Cheney’s Presidential Campaign in the year 2004. He was the chief strategist of that campaign.

Matthew Dowd was born as Matthew John Dowd on May 29, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. His parent’s names have not been revealed. However, he is the son of an auto executive and an elementary school teacher. Matthew was not the only child of his parents. He has 10 siblings and he was the third child. The names of his siblings are not known as well. Matthew Dowd completed his college studies from Cardinal Newman College.

Matthew Dowd has been married as well as divorced twice in his lifetime. One of his wives was Tammy Edgerly. He shares three sons from his first wife. His eldest son’s name is Daniel who currently served for the American military. Matthew Dowd and his second wife Nicole Baines gave birth to twin daughters but they died when they were just infants. After that incident, he had to face another divorce. According to some reports of 2013, Matthew Dowd has been dating Maria Shriver.
