Gavin Christopher Newsom or commonly known as Gavin Newsom is a popular American politician. Apart from being just a politician, he has been well-known as a businessman. Currently, he has been serving as the 40th governor of California.

Relationship with Donald Trump:

Gavin Newsom and Donald Trump, both are from different political parties and have different political views. He has remained a huge critic of Donald Trump’s presidency for a very long period of time. Early Life:

Gavin Newsom was born on October 10, 1967, in San Francisco, California, USA to Tessa Thomas and William Alfred Newsom III. When Gavin was just two years of age, his parents were separated. In 1972, when Gavin was five years old, his parents got divorced. Then, he along with his sister Hilary Newsom Callan was raised by his mother. In the year 1985, Gavin Newsom completed his high school from Redwood High School. Later, in the year 1989, he completed his BS degree in Political Science from Santa Carla University.

Career:

On May 14, 1991, Gavin Newsom founded a company named PlumpJack Associates L.P. He kicked off his official political career in the year 1995 after working as one of the volunteers in Willie Brown’s mayoral campaign. On January 8, 1977, he became one of the members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from the 2nd district and he worked there until January 8, 2004. The same day he was appointed as the 42nd Mayor of San Francisco and he served until January 10, 2011. Concurrently he got elected as the 49th Lieutenant Governor of California. He provided his services there until he was appointed as the 40th governor of California on January 7, 2019.

Personal Life:

Gavin Newsom has been married twice. His first marriage was with Kimberly Guilfoyle in the year 2001. The couple separated after five years, in the year 2006. Two years later, in 2008, Gavin Newsom remarried Jennifer Siebel. The couple is together at present and are blessed with four children: Montana Tessa Siebel Newsom, Hunter Siebel Newsom, Brooklynn, and Dutch.
