Justin Amash is a popular American lawyer as well as a politician. Currently, he has been serving as one of the members of the US House of Representatives from Michigan’s 3rd district. Previously, Amash worked as one of the members of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 72nd district.

Early Life:

Justin Amash was born on April 18, 1980, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. He is the son of Attallah Amash and Mimi Amash. He spent most of his childhood days in Kentwood, Michigan with his brother- Jeff Amash. Justin Amash completed his school studies from Kelloggsville Christian School. Later, he completed his high school studies from Grand Rapid Christian High School in 1998. Similarly, in 2002, he completed his BA degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. Also, in 2005, he completed his JD degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Career:

After successfully completing his law graduation, Justin Amash started working as an attorney in the Grand Rapid Law firm. Then, he worked for his father’s company named “Michigan Industrial Tools Inc.” as their consultant.

On January 14, 2009, he was elected as one of the members of the Michigan House of Representatives from the 72nd district. He serviced there until January 12, 2011. But he left this position after 9 days when he was appointed the new member of the US House of Representatives from Michigan’s 3rd district. He has still been serving there and it has already been more than 9 years now. Amash is considered as the first-ever Republican to call for the impeachment of the current president, Donald Trump. He was also one of the politicians who went against Donald Trump’s decision to ban citizens from seven different Muslim countries from entering the USA. He has remained a strong critic of Trump since he stood as one of the candidates in the 2016 Presidential Election.

Personal Life:

Justin Amash married his love since high school period, Kara Day/Amash. They studied together until graduated. Later, Kara completed her graduation from Calvin College, and then, the couple married. The couple shares a son- Alexander Amash, and two daughters- Anwen Amash and Evelyn Amash. Also, the family has two pet dogs.
