Dusty Johnson is a popular American politician. Currently, he has been providing his services as one of the members of the US House of Representatives from South Dakota’s at-large district. Previously, he used to serve as the chief of staff to the Governor of South Dakota. Also, he has served as one of the members of the South Dakota Public Commission.

Early Life:

Dusty Johnson was born as Dustin M. Johnson on September 30, 1976, in Pierre, South Dakota, USA. In 1995, he completed his high school studies from T.F. Riggs High School. Later, in 1999, Dusty Johnson completed his BA degree in Political Science from the University of South Dakota. Three years later, he completed his MPA degree from the University of Kansas in 2002.

Career:

When Johnson was attending the University of South Dakota, he became a Truman Scholar. As a scholar, he got to provide his services for the US Department of Agriculture.

He officially kicked off his professional career in the year 2003 after providing his services for the South Dakota governor, Mike Rounds. He served as his senior policy advisor. In January 2005, Johnson became one of the members of the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission. He worked there until January 8, 2011, when he became the Chief of Staff to the Governor of South Dakota. He provided his services to the governor until November 7, 2014.

After resigning for this position, he started serving in various private sectors until 2018. On January 3, 2019, Johnson was named one of the members of the US House of Representatives from South Dakota’s at-large district. Currently, he has been serving for this position and it has already been more than a year. Since he serves as the same political party as Donald Trump, it seems he has been a good supporter of Donald Trump. During the impeachment debate, Johnson voted not to impeach the president. But, he was seen going against the president in his decision of withdrawing US troops from northeast Syria. In fact, he was involved with 128 other Republicans as well as 225 Democrats to vote and oppose the decision made by Donald Trump.

Personal Life:

Dusty Johnson married to Jacquelyn Johnson. The couple currently shares a total number of 3 children. However, the children’s name has not been publicized. Also, even he has not publicized how he met his wife, and when they got married. Johnson is yet to serve for a big position and he will definitely share most of his information once he gets to serve for a higher position. Currently, he has been living in South Dakota along with his wife and children.
