These days the networks are filling up with messages to commemorate the Gay Pride celebration. Without going any further Billboard has released “the love missives” that idols of pop music have dedicated to their followers. Artists such as Selena Gomez, Barbra Streisand or Liza Minelli have written to the LGTB community … And they have not been the only ones. The daughter of US President Ivanka Trump has wanted to join those messages of love and affection, but the play has gone wrong. Pretty bad.

The events took place hours after his father announced to the world that he was withdrawing the US from the Paris climate agreement, and Ivanka, who was clearly opposed to this decision, changed the subject on Twitter. The daughter of the American leader published the following:

“I am proud to support my LGBT friends and all that American community that has contributed so much to our society and our economy,” Ivanka tweeted. But the message did not sit well and immediately users were challenged their double standards in this matter.

“You can not honor the LGBT community when the vice president supports gay conversion therapy and his father supports bathroom bills,” wrote this user.

“You supported and campaigned for the most anti-LGBT presidential candidate in history. His words do not mean anything to us,” says this other user.

“You’re a monster, a shameless monster,” another writes.

“Your LGBT friends?” Asks this other tweet, which accompanies his message of a gif in which you see the text: “Where? Where are they?”
