Walter Kamau Bell was born on January 26, 1973, to parents Walter Bell an insurance commissioner and Janet Cheatham Bell an author. He was grown up at Alabama, Boston, and Chicago. Bell went to University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and later attended the University of Pennsylvania. But he dropped out with an intention to pursue his career as a comedian. He gradually established himself as a community activist and a socio-political comedian.
