Colin Morgan is a Northern Ireland actor who is well recognized for playing the title character in the BBC fantasy series ‘Merlin’. He wisely got popular after being named as a ‘Star of Tomorrow‘ by Screen International in July 2008.
The early life of Colin Morgan
He was born in the New Year day on 1 January 1986, in Armagh Northern Ireland. He is the son of father Bernard Morgan and mother Bernadette Morgan. His father is a painter and decorator while his mother is a nurse. He has two older brothers. While talking about his education then, he began his study at Integrated College Dungannon. Then he appeared in several colleges productions such as Surgical Sensations at St. Senna pods and Bad Day at Black Frog Creek. In 2004, he received a National Diploma in Performing Arts from the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education. After that, he graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2007 and also won a spot while studying there. Three years later in November 2010, he was honored with an Award of Distinction for his contribution to the Arts.

He started his acting career in 2007 by playing the honorary character Venom God Little at the Young Vic. After that, he appeared in a play called ‘All About My Mother‘. That play had provided him the nomination for 2007 London Newcomer of the year in the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards. In the same year (2007), he appeared as John Leary in the movie ‘The Catherine Tate show‘. Subsequently, he played in a series called Merlin from 2008 to 2014 that made him won several nominations and awards. The series provided him the nomination for Outstanding Actor in the Monte Carlo TV Festival Awards in 2009, 2010, and 2011. For his performance in this series in 2013, he also received the Best Actor in the drama performance: Male Award in National Television Awards.

Later, he appeared in several films and series including film like ‘Waiting For You (2015)’, ‘The Happy Prince (2016)’, ‘Benjamin(2017)’ and Swedish series ‘Real humans (2015)’, ghost hunter series ‘The Living and the Dead (2016)’, etc.
