Ed Henry was born as Edward Henry, on July 20, 1971, in Queens, New York, USA, and has spent most of his life there. He has a younger sister named Colleen Henry. Ed completed his high school education from St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School. Later, he completed his bachelors’ degree in English from Siena College in Loudonville, New York.

Career:

After completing his graduation, Ed started his professional career working with Jack Anderson, a popular American newspaper columnist. He started to work for the WMAL Morning News as well as “The Chris Core Show” from 2003. Then, he covered Capitol Hill for nearly eight years.

Currently, he has been serving as an editor at Washingtonian which is a monthly magazine in Washington, D.C. Since March 2006, Ed served for CNN as their White House correspondent. Later, in December 2008, he became the senior correspondent at White House. After working for nearly five years at CNN, he decided to join Fox News with no regrets of leaving CNN. Currently, he has been providing his services as the co-host at Newsroom alongside Sandra Smith.

In September 2019, Ed interviewed Mark Levin, a conservative radio host. The interview led to many talks that were directly related to Donald Trump’s Ukraine scandal. This seemed really annoying for the president and he even went on a ‘tweet-war’ with Ed. There were nearly 23 tweets and retweets in a span of 23 minutes where Trump has expressed his displeasure with Ed Henry.

In June 2010, Ed married Shirley Hung in Las Vegas. Shirley is the senior producer at CNN. Their marriage ceremony was held at Society Café Encore Las Vegas. And the wedding cake was a 22-layered chocolate cake topped with whipped cream that replicated the White House. The couple now shares two children namely Patrick and Mila. Currently, Ed has been residing in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Henry’s affair with a Las Vegas stripper:

From May 6, 2016, until late August, Ed took a temporary leave for three months after he was alleged an extramarital affair with Natalia Lima, a hostess, and stripper working in one of the luxurious clubs in Las Vegas. Natalia gave her an interview with “InTouch” describing they had a 10-month affair. Due to this, he was removed from his position as White House Correspondent. And later rejoined Fox News as their Chief National Correspondent.
