The Republican Revolution of 1994 did not halt Eshoo from keeping her seat which she re-won with 61% of the total vote.
Eshoo’s re-election winning streak would continue in the next century. Anna won re-elections in 2008, 2010, and 2012 defeating Ronny Santana and Dave Chapman to secure her seat at the Congress.

Anna has also openly opposed the Marriage Protection Amendment and the Marriage Protection Act citing the bills as “discriminatory” and for “singling out for the first time a minority to prevent their interests from being considered by the highest courts in the land.”
