Tamron Hall is an American broadcast journalist who was formerly the national news anchor for NBC news. Apart from it, she is also a television host and widely known as the award-winning TV presenter.

The Early life of Tamron Hall

Hall was born on 16 September 1970 in Luling, Texas, the United States. She was raised by her mother Mary Newton and stepfather Clarence Newton Sr. She truly loves her stepfather and credits her pursuit of a journalism career to him saying that he was her main motivator. For her education, she attended Temple University from where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. After that, she quickly moved to KTVT in Fort Worth, Texas.

She started her journalism career in 1992 by receiving a position as a general assignment reporter at KBTX network of Bryan College Station, Texas. Serving KBTX till 1994, she moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she worked for three years from 1994 to 1997. After that, she shifted in Chicago where she worked for WFLD-TV from 1997 to 2007. Then, she was associated with MSNBC in 2007 and with her talent, she served the network afterward. In 2008, she has also taken an interview of Barack Obama before he announced his run for the presidency. A year later, in 2009, as a co-host of a two-hour program ‘The Big Picture‘, she joined David Shuster. Furthermore, she also served as the host of ‘News Nation with Tamron Hall‘ in the year 2010.


On 1 September 2013, she started hosting a series called Deadline: Crime With Tamron Hall. Subsequently, she became co-anchor of a show called Today’s Take on 24 February 2014 where she is the first African-American woman to co-anchor the show. In Summer 2016, at the University of Texas at Austin, Investigation Discovery premiered a new special, Guns On Campus: Tamron Hall Investigates, which commemorated the 50th anniversary of the tower shooting. She is the host of Deadline: Crime on Investigation Discovery channel on today’s context.

After that, in January 2017, she stated to be dating a man named Tony although it’s uncertain if she had been joking. But, it is confirmed that she is unmarried yet.
