Kate Bolduan is an American journalist who works as an anchor in ‘At this hour’ and ‘State of America’. Bolduan worked as a co-anchor for the CNN program new day with co-hosts Chris Cuomo and Michaela Pereira.

Kate is a native of Goshen Indiana. She is the daughter of doctor Jeffery Bolduan and Nadine Bolduan who is a nurse. Bolduan is the third among four of the siblings. Kate went to Goshen high school located in her hometown. She graduated from George Washington University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She was on the women’s volleyball team while at university and also acted with the student theatre organization. Bolduan had spent some time in Madrid, Spain during her studies where she learned to speak Spanish.

Bolduan started her career as a journalist as a production assistant for NBC News and MSNBC in Washington Dc. She was also a general assignment reporter for WTVD –TV in Raleigh, North Carolina Kate began working in CNN as a national correspondent for CNN News report. Bolduan covered the 2008 United States Presidential election and she traveled throughout the US covering news such as the Minneapolis bridge collapse, OJ Simpson armed robbery case, and the retiring NASA Space shuttle fleet. Kate married Michael Gershenson in May 2010. He works for the Carlyle group. She converted her religion to Judaism. Their first child Cecelia Eve Gershenson was born in September 2014. She gave birth to their second child Delphine on December 23, 2017. Currently, Kate lives in Washington dc with her husband and two daughters.
