Paul John Manafort Jr. is a lobbyist. He has worked as an adviser to numerous Republican candidates such as George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole and Gerald Ford. Before resigning in August 2016, Paul was also the chairman of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

With an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University Class of 1971, Paul entered the world of jurisdiction. He worked for law firms such as Pease and Seymour between 1977 and 1980. After that, as already mentioned, Paul became a political lobbyist working for various Republican presidents.

Manafort established Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly in 1980. Along the road of political career, Paul’s firm lobbied for Ferdinand Marcos, former President of Philippines, and Mobutu Sese Seko, former president of Congo. These two leaders reportedly paid him a total of two million dollars per year. In 1995, Manafort became strategist for Edouard Balladur, a French politician. The job made him $200,000.

In the early 90s, Paul is said to have been involved in spreading and exaggerating the tormentation faced by Kashmiri people. The Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) paid him $700, 000 for the job. Likewise, Manafort worked in the campaign of Viktor Yanukovych, a Ukrainian president from 2004 to 2010. This work was particularly criticized because the then US government was not in favor of Ukraine because of its ties with Russia. Subsequently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine found out an alleged payment of $12.7 million to Manafort.

Whole of his life, Paul Manafort has been associated with several wrongdoings. However, it’s undoubtedly true that he is the most adept person when it comes to handling money. Illustratively, the clients of his company must be able to pay a retainer of $250,000 before starting the job. Moreover, due to his involvement, Trump’s campaign raised around $80 million alone in June.

While no official records talk about Paul’s assets, properties, and net worth, he is estimated at more than $450 million.
