Tamron Hall is a journalist by profession. Over a long period of time in journalism, Hall has been a news anchor for NBC and a program host for Investigation Discovery. Among her many television shows, she has had significant community impact via MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall, Today’s Take and Deadline: Crime.

Early Life and Education

Tamron Hall was born on September 16, 1970. Brought up in Luling Texas, Hall went on to study broadcast journalism at Temple University.

Personal Life

Tamron Hall, although not yet married, is in a relationship with Lawrence O’Donnell. O’Donnell is also a television personality who was previously married to Kathryn Harold from 1994 to 2013.

Career

Graduating from Temple University, Tamron Hall joined KTVT as a news journalist. Later, she moved to Chicago, Illinois to work for WFLD-TV for 10 years starting from 1997. Affiliated to such a local news agency, Hall was primarily a junior reporter whose main focus was inclined to the Illinois politics. While at WFLD-TV, she had huge opportunities to cover several breaking storied, including the rise of Barrack Obama, Illinois accidents and other political affairs. Subsequently, Hall was recruited by MSNBC in 2007.

Initially, Tamron Hall started off as a fill-in anchor at MSNBC. Besides, she also did some general reporting. In June 2009, she became a co-anchor of David Shuster in The Big Picture. Subsequently, in 2010, she became the host of a new show called NewsNation with Tamron Hall whereby Hall was analytical about the death of Osama Bin Laden, 2011 space shuttle launch and 2012 Hurricane Issaac. Unlike many other television personalities, Hall liked to take these discussions to social media and her public opinions.

Starting from February 24, 2014, Hall commenced co-anchoring Today’s Take alongside reputed personalities such as Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist. As a matter of fact, she has also been the first African-American woman to present the Today Show for NBC News. Besides, Hall has also been hosting Deadline: Crime With Tamron Hall. The program is intended to show an investigative report on various crimes happening in the US.

Recently, Tamron Hall’s contract with NBC and MSNBC expired and she is currently expecting to join a large news agency on a rather financially lucrative deal.

Donald Trump and Tamron Hall

In March 2016, some 2012 voicemails were released which showed Tamron Hall trying to cozy up to Donald Trump. In the mail, she says, “I celebrated by going to Gucci, and I’m going to use your discount, because there’s a green dress that’s like $3,000, and I need a discount bigger than the one — my discount. I hope you’re bracing for Romney to get his butt whipped tomorrow by Obama.”

In addition, Hall was also heard to commenting on one of Trump’s appearances on a YouTube video.
