Marla Ann Maples was born on 27th October 1963 who is an American television personality and actress. Marla Maples is well known for her relationship and eventually six-year marriage to the businessman as well as 2016 Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

Personal life

Marla Maples was born to a homemaker and model, Lura Ann Locklear and a real estate developer, Stanley Edward Maples in Cohutta, Georgia. Northwest Whitfield High School was attended by Maples which is in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, where as Homecoming Queen she was crowned.

In 1989, Maples and Donald Trump were met and had a 4-year immensely promoted affairs that result birth of one child, Tiffany Ariana Trump who was born on 13th October 1993. At New York City’s Plaza Hotel, they were married in December 1993 which was attended by 1,000 guests, including O.J. Simpson and Rosie O’Donnell. In May 1997, the couples separated and in 1999, they divorced.

Career

Motion pictures

In Maximum Executive and Overdrive Decision, Maples appeared.  The Todd Solondz movie Happiness and the movie Black and White were the films in which she followed with roles. Other films include A Christmas Too Many, Two of Hearts, Loving Annabelle, Richie Rich’s A Christmas Wish, Something Wilder, For Richer or Poorer and A Sight for Sore Eyes. Then at the Kingdomwood Christian Film Festival in October 2015, Maples won the Feature Film Silver Award as an actress in Switching Lanes which was directed by Thomas Mikal Ford.

Television

At WWF WrestleMania VII, Maples came into as a celebrity guest in 1991 in the main event serving as special guest timekeeper match between defending WWF Champion Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan. In the same year, in hit television series Designing Women as herself, Maples also made a special emergence. The 1996 and 1997 Miss Universe Pageant and the 1997 Miss USA Pageant was co-hosted by Maples. In 1997, in Spin City guest-starred by Maples and in May 1998 The Nanny. Maple was presented in 2013 on Oprah: Where Are They Now?

On season 22 of Dancing with the Stars alongside with Kim Field, her Switching Lanes co-star on 8th March 2016, Maples was one of the celebrities who was announced to compete. Tony Dovolani, a professional dancer with whom Maple was partnered. On Week 4 of competition, they were eliminated and in 10th place finished. On 11th March 2016, the Women of ABC’s morning talk show was joined by Maples as a guest co-host, The View.

Theater

Maples was highlighted as “Ziegfeld’s favorite” In August 1992, The Will Rogers Follies on Broadway which is the Tony Award-winning production. In 2011, for Love, Loss and What I Wore, Maples returned to New York, an off-Broadway production.

Philanthropy

Maples is dedicated to helping non-profit organizations and charities and is an age and vocal lawyer of an organization uniting Palestinian and Israeli children, Kids Creating Peace. Proceeds of sales had been shared by Maple with those in need, proceeds of her One World of Love album also shared by her with Success for Kids, and with Linda’s Stuff proceeds from her auction which went for Kids Spirituality.

Radio and music

Maples own talk radio show was hosted by her, on Contact Talk Radio, Awakening with Marla; her guests were astrologers, naturopathic doctors, and authors.

In August 2013, Maple’s album released, The Endless which is a musical journey of transformational energy and spiritual awakening, featuring thought leaders such as Michael Beckwith, Deepak Chopra, and the Dalai Lama. A different level of connection and consciousness sought to evoke each track, designed for prayer circles, deep meditation, or yoga sessions. “Hollywood Music in Media Award” was won by Maples in December 2014, for best New Age song, for the album, “House of Love”. “Open Your Eyes” with Michael Berg from the same album “The Endless” of her song is also highlighted on the compilation album, Armada Music’s ‘Planet Chill 2014-01’.

Health and wellness

Health and wellness advocate are a Maples with her daughter Tiffany Trump confessing that in Trump Tower, healthy homemade chocolate is used to made by her, meantime her father would creep her downstairs to buy her Almond Joys to the candy store. Marla eats organic, chooses to be gluten free and avoids dairy self-proclaimed by her. Top three tips for healthy eating which she told People Magazine  are to (a) be joyful in all you do/eat, (b) eat organic and (c) listen to your body.

Other

For No Excuses jeans, Maples starred in 1990 in an advertising campaign. A line of maternity clothes sold in several major department stores which were designed by Marla in 1993.

The announcement by the ReganBooks division of HarperCollins Publishers about All That Glitters Is Not Gold, in January 2000 was a memoir by Maples. A spokeswoman said that ”The author and publisher by mutual consent have agreed not to publish the book” for the publishing company in February 2002.
